GEHMS Kids Operate NASA Radio Telescope to Explore Deep Space!

Congratulations! They did it! Thank you GAVRT and NASA! Fourth grade student scientists from GEHMS successfully operated one of NASA’s 850,000 pound, ten-story radio telescopes located in Goldstone Valley, California. From their laptop computer in the school science lab, these young astronomers collected data emitted from a black hole in deep space. Their data will contribute to scientific research of an international group of NASA scientists.
