Day 1 (Page One): Travel Day

On Friday all of the students and teachers at the East Hartford-Glastonbury Elementary Magnet School gave their Micro-gravity Team a great “send-off” with books, letters, poems and advice for success in their astronaut training in micro-gravity!

Today Ms. Rand and Ms. Sliva, with their friends, Ms. Tamborini and Ms. Spiegel, Fluffy the Science Dog and Mr. Flat Stanley are bound for the Johnson Space Flight Center in Houston, Texas.

They will spend the next ten days training, studying and setting up an experiment to carry out in micro-gravity. They will join a small number of people on earth to float in the NASA “Weightless Wonder” aircraft.

Their are many beautiful clouds outside the airplane window! They see lots of stratus, cumulous and wispy, cirrus clouds!
